CHRISTIAN NURSE

CREATIVE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER Live Action, Post & VFX

As a Creative Executive Producer, I leverage the entire pipeline from creative to final deliverables for branded short-format motion pictures. I understand the creative, budgetary, and execution needs of advertisers, which I've delivered on to a range of high-profile clients.

Psyop

Psyop needed a freelance EP with a deep understanding of both live-action and VFX post-production. As someone who deeply understands both live-action and VFX post-production, Psyop hired me to meticulously guide their clients through projects requiring these skillsets. I loved working with the talented Psyop team.

Sonos

Ways and Means handles creative, live-action, post, and some tricky VFX brilliantly! I oversaw post and VFX on a project of theirs using a mix of Flame Nuke and AE to keep a speaker floating along. It took a team effort to make a magic trick such as this look seamless and simple.

Special Guest - Meta

I spent some time in NYC with Special Guest overseeing a slate of Meta businesses ranging from Metaverse Social to a Beat Saber X Lizzo music pack spot. Tanu Muino directed this project, Underwonder produced, and we were lucky to have a very talented choreographer, Sean Bankhead. Meta ended up using his phenomenal choreography from the spot in the game, which is a classic example of art holding the mirror to (virtual) reality.

Polly

I love producing for new brands such as Polly, an innovative way to provide car insurance. TBWA Chiat wrote a great concept and Trevor Clarence ran with it for JOJX. I’m privileged to have had the opportunity to work with such talented people.

TSMC

Prior to producing TSMC's 2022 Virtual and Live Technology Symposium, I was unaware of the huge cultural, political, and economic powerhouse that is TSMC. Producing the 2022 North American Virtual Symposium was an incredible learning experience. We produced graphics for the in-person event which launched on the same day as the virtual event. Translating the live event into virtual was an interesting and enjoyable challenge. It's always a pleasure to work with my friends at 1st Avenue Machine.

Key Stage Graphic

I was thrilled when my friends at 1st Ave Machine called me up with a very interesting opportunity: to produce the hour-long Google PIXEL 6's release. It was a massive undertaking requiring six producers, eight editors, and more graphics than seemed possible. But after the 54:02:00 total run time, we had a smashing success.

Google

Hiroad

Fun little ditty I shot in LA with Australian director Sam Holst. My frist time working with the french agency Fred Farid. They were terrific partners on this project. PF100 was the production co.

Amazon Blink

The level of strategy we had to employ to ensure we got the shot with our raccoon friends was NASA level. Short on time, we needed an actual performance from our furry friends who is only certain that if they do what we want they will get a treat. Matteo Mostert's dispatched his directing duties with aplomb and it is always wonderful to work with Hey, Wonderful.

Allstate

These turned out GREAT. Light of heart, relatable, fun. Please, for you to enjoy. Brig White was a delight to Produce for with Tool of NA. He'll remind you, "Our job is fun." He's right. Allstate's internal creative team crushed it. Proud of the work.

Toast

To be honest... This was an insane shoot. and god bless All'Acqua restaurant in Atwater village for letting us shoot there... Also, I got to work with a talented Duo THE DIRECTORS BROTHERS and the nice people at PF100.

Oldies but Goodies

This selection of films represents my best work and favorite projects. They kinda go together.

Crash Bandicoot

Tool of NA

This was the first time I gathered a crew during the pandemic, we were one of the first permits issued in LA. I very much appreciated the team at Tool working to keep everyone on set safe. Spots turned out funny as hell too, George Basil x Quavo FTW. Directed by Alex Richanbach with Battery Los Angeles as our agency parter.

Infiniti

When Tool approached me for this I was thrilled, I love the energy of live production. We were specially treated with Daveed Diggs as our star actor, his HAMILTON Broadway chops brought this production's hard work life. Directed by Alex Richanbach with Crispin Porter + Bogusky for agency partner.

Finish Line

Partnered up with Director Michael McGrath on this for Finish Line. For no particular reason, this shot in Suburban Las Vegas, and it was perfect. A ton of fun to shoot, and I won 5k on the craps table.

Bad Boys for Lyft

Producing for Will Smith is a highlight for anyones career, and this project is no exception for me. Our shoot was slotted into 2 hours of his very busy promotional tour for the 3rd installment of the Bad Boys franchise. The list of logistical hurdles we had to meet was mighty, but worth it to make the process seamless for Will and the Lyft riders we surprised.

DIDNT I
One Republic

Didnt I? - Black Dog Films

This one for Black Dog/RSA with director Christian Lamb. One of those projects where what I do shines. We had a modest budget attached to high expectations. We made a film that punches way above said budget, super-premium look, and all-around easy on the eyes. Shout out to Chris Soos at DP, my hero.

POKER PARTY
Party Poker

Tool Of NA

If you aren't producing for Kevin Hart, are you really working? Alex Richanbach and I wrapped this in Atlanta for Tool of NA. Our friends from the UK at Gravity Road were the creative agency.

SPOTIFY x GOOGLE CLOUD
Spotify

This was a fun collaboration with director Marcus Ubugen, Chiat Day, Google AND Spotify. We shot in NYC, and 2 cities in Sweden. I produced for documentary powerhouse Non-Fiction Unlimited.

UNDER COVER LYFT
UnderCover Lyft

13 Episodes

2017-2019

Undercover Lyft is an online series where musicians, athletes, and celebrities get behind the wheel of a Lyft and surprise unsuspecting passengers. They are slightly disguised – in most cases just a hat and sunglasses – and act as if they’re an everyday driver. We base the content around the driver’s personality and use plenty of inside jokes that are meaningful to their fans and the audience. Throughout the ride, they fool passengers with misdirects and clues that end with a reveal the passenger never saw coming. Alex Richanbach directs for Alldayeveryday.

Undercover Lyft has been one of the most successful efforts to come from the Lyft brand. The series has racked up 75M views, 6B total impressions, 820M social impressions, and 77M engagements to date.

SILVELAKE OUT LOUD
Silver Lake Outloud

Alldayeveryday

Lyft sponsored “Silver Lake Out Loud,” a short film directed by Cheryl Dunn at Alldayeveryday, that profiles Alexei Romanoff, who organized the 1967 Black Cat Gay Rights demonstration in Silver Lake. “It was more than just a place to socialize, it was a place to be. Where we felt safe,” says Romanoff, 89.

DAFT PUNK "GET LUCKY"
Daft Punk Grammy Awards

For Daft Punk’s return to the Grammy stage and the first-ever live performance of their smash “Get Lucky,” the French electronic duo threw a massive funk-disco-soul party that featured Pharrell Williams, Stevie Wonder and Chic’s Nile Rodgers. I was the production manager, and the experience of putting on a live show for a live broadcast with Daft Punk is unforgettable. However, no one remembers the after-party, not even the 60ft light-up dance floor we danced on.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY

RenderedImage-11 (1).png

My 15 years of production experience within the Los Angeles zone, 50 states and globally give me the contacts and know-how to be highly effective in film production. I've spent this time working in partnership with clients like Google, TSMC, Meta, Nike, McDonald's, LYFT, The Grammy's, Daft Punk, NEST, Beats by Dre, BuzzFeed, Purina, Toyota, and H&M to name a few.

I cut my teeth in the traditional media world of broadcast television commercials. From that sturdy foundation, I evolved quickly as a content producer. Undercover Lyft, in particular, is an extremely successful branded program. The series has racked up 75M views, 6B total impressions, 820M social impressions, and 77M engagements to date. I've been on the leading edge of the evolution of content creation and I am excited about its future.

My work has been internationally recognized in advertising, film and design awards, including Cannes, Effies, Clios, AICP, and the Webby's.

Over time, I have discovered a preference for audiobooks and finally learned how to sail instead of simply claiming I knew how because dad took me out when I was a kid.
